Ballard Center Volunteers Improve Early Childhood Education Classroom Spaces

The Ballard Center is fortunate to have many skilled and committed volunteers who help our organization serve others every day! Ken Clouse and Rick Kulhe are prime examples of members from Ballard’s dedicated volunteer team. Ken and Rick used their construction talents to build larger closet storage spaces within Ballard’s learning classrooms. The Ballard Center used funding from a local foundation to pay for all the building supplies and materials to ensure an efficient building of the classroom closets. We greatly appreciate Ken and Rick for accommodating the regularly scheduled classroom learning and napping sessions throughout the closet-building process. From start to finish of the closet-building project, volunteers Ken and Rick displayed a steadfast commitment and amazing work ethic towards helping to improve Ballard classrooms.

By finishing the classroom closets, Ken and Rick positively impacted Ballard Center’s Early Childhood Education program, allowing Ballard teachers to keep curriculum materials organized and more readily available for daily teaching. Additionally, the finished classroom closets provide a more efficient storage area for toys, allowing the play items to be rotated in and out of the classrooms to help nurture enjoyable school experiences. We are truly grateful to Ken Clouse, Rick Kulhe, and all our wonderful and dedicated volunteers who help Ballard to make positive impacts on the lives of others within Douglas County Communities!
