COVID-19:

Ballard Center Early Childhood Education Center closed for 14 days

Pantry opened on a limited basis

Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health has ordered closures for 14 days of all K-12 schools, recreational facilities, and public libraries to stem the outbreak. Ballard Center will follow suit and close our Early Childhood Education Center for 14 days at the advisement of Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health.

There is no higher priority at Ballard Center than the health and safety of our children, families, and clients. We know these are stressful times and realize that our client’s live paycheck to paycheck. We are addressing the challenges our families are facing and how best to continue offering our wrap-around services.
We are partnering with Just Foods as well as reaching out to our community to assure we have food, diapers, and toiletries available.
