New Venue, Same Life-Changing Generosity! Changing Lives 2026 Breaks Ballard Records!

If you heard cheering coming from the KU Conference Center on Friday, June 12, it wasn’t a football game. It was the sound of some of Lawrence’s most generous community members helping Ballard set a new record, raising an incredible $652,325 to support our programs and community services.

This year’s gala centered on the power of transformation. We celebrated the transformation of early childhood education positions from jobs into sustainable careers, the transformation of childcare affordability into equity through our 7% Tuition Model, and the transformation of community health through expanded access to fresh, free, locally grown produce.

Most of all, the evening was a reminder of what makes this community special. Once again, Ballard’s supporters showed up with extraordinary generosity, reinforcing a simple but powerful truth: Lawrence is a community that cares for one another. Together, we are building a future where children, families, and neighbors have the opportunity not just to get by, not just to thrive, but to transform their lives in amazing ways!
