We hope you can join us!
Saturday, October 11 the Ballard is hosting our first ever Ballard Butterfly Bash! We will have food, music, games, activities, a scavenger hunt, and a costume contest!
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!!!
We will also be meeting our new mascot – Allie the Ballard Butterfly! Based on one of our amazing former teachers, Allie Richardson, Allie is the symbol of everything we value at Ballard, safety, support, communication, learning, and play! Drawn by North Lawrence artist Lindsey Yanksey, Allie the Ballard Butterfly will become a regular around the Ballard building, helping kids see themselves in the mascot that encapsulates the values of Ballard.
Also, throughout the day, we’ll give tours of our new space, which will house our pantry and Family Stabilization services. Come check out this exciting new project!
Here’s the schedule for the day:

11-12: Music by Alex Williams, burgers and hot dogs, cookies, activities, and the scavenger hunt!
12-12:20 A short presentation featuring Allie, the Ballard Butterfly.
12:20-1:00 More games, hunts, fun, with music by Ric Averill
1:00 Costume contest with Emcee Ric Averill, with a special guest judges
1:00-2:00 Wind down with some games, and a family-friendly dance party by D.J. Hilde
We look forward to seeing you there! If you’d like to help, give us a shout. We’d love to hear from you!
